Past and Present: Swindon Rockets Powerchair Football Club was launched on 31st August 2007. In October 2008 Swindon Rockets appointed a new chairman and committee, who were able to move the club forward towards competing in Regional and National competition. Swindon Rockets entered the Wheelchair Football Association National League for the first time in September 2010. Swindon Rockets has eleven players they are of all ages from the age of twelve to our oldest player who is aged in their forties. We have both male and female members. We provide active training sessions for all ,whether members wish to play the sport socially or competitively. We are in the South East Regional League giving our less experienced and new players the opportunity to play competitive powerchair football. We are also entering a team in the newly established South West League this year.
We aim to make the sessions Fun and exciting. Make everyone feel part of the team. Encourage player development at all levels. Give everyone a sense of belonging.
